Wetland Plant ID

Some of the most productive ecosystems on earth are wetlands, but apart from their proximity to water, wetland habitats vary considerably. This is your chance to learn about the indicator plants of different wetland habitats, including shrubs, wildflowers, sedges, grasses, ferns, and some aquatic species. The class features an evening lecture that will present images of wetland plants and a field trip to a site with a variety of wetland plant communities. Bring a hand lens, lunch, and water; be prepared for wet feet.
